I reinstalled a deleted graphics driver now it won't work

I recently tried to reinstall my Intel(R) Iris(TM) Pro Graphics P6300, and I encountered this;

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Object Name not found.

It deleted around 8 months ago and uninstalled completely from computer and I went to device managers today and tried to reinstall it by using legacy hardware or some other stuff. I have been told to update it, but when I do it says it is already up-to-date. It can't be. The reason it was deleted a while back was by accident. I use two graphics cards. The other one is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 610. I have a 64-bit operating system and a x64 based processor . Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz

. Running windows 8. Please help.

Did you choose manual installation in device manager?

If so, try the similar "have disk method" described in Installation_Readme.txt

I did not choose manual installation as I had no disk to use to install any drivers from. I proceeded to the Intel driver download sight and could not retrieve my drivers or see the display adapter that I own.

Looks like Intel forgot to list your GPU in the search database.

Anyway your GPU is listed in the igdlh64.inf of build v4539 available at: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26347/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40- Download Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

Hello PowerstrokingNvidia ,

The link provided by Stefan3D is the download page for the latest driver available for your system (Intel HD Graphics 4600)

I recommend doing the following:

Was not able to get it resolved. I gave up on it, but now would like to continue. I have no idea what to do. I know my computer has the graphics driver because it was running smooth games before uninstallment then after its a little choppy.

Hello PowerstrokingNvidia,

I understand.

Would you please provide me with the Intel SSU report from your computer?

This report will gather up some useful information that I will use to further assist you with this matter.

Here is how you can get the report:

-Access: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

-Download the utility

-Scan your system with the utility

-Export the report (hit next and then save) and attach it to your answer with the advanced editor option (reply button and then check upper right corner)

Hope I can hear from you.

Regards,

Hello PowerstrokingNvidia,

I was checking your system report and found something odd, multiple iGPUs are present there (Intel HD Graphics adapters) which cannot be done since you only have one processor which has Intel HD Graphics in it (never happened or saw this before).

My recommendations would be the following:

1. Remove the NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 from the system, just as a troubleshooting step

2. Remove all drivers from Intel HD Graphics from the device manager, check instructions below

3. Install the latest Intel HD Graphics 4600 drivers: http://intel.ly/1OOF4Dl http://intel.ly/1OOF4Dl

4. Install your external graphics card again

5. Install its drivers: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/113442 http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/113442

6. Provide me with a screenshot of the display adapters under the device manager after following steps above

7. Check the performance of the system

How to uninstall the graphics drivers:

-Access the device manager (you can use windows start "search" to find it).

-Look for Display adapters double click on it.

-Right click on your Intel® HD Graphics (each of them) and hit properties.

-Go to driver tab and hit uninstall.

-Select "Delete the driver software for this device"

Please let me know how it goes.

When I downloaded the 4600 driver, I was told My system does meet the minimum requirements to do this??

Please follow these steps:

1. Access the device manager and look for display adapters

2. Right click and uninstall the driver, make sure to select "Delete the driver software for this device"

3. Download the driver

4. Open this link: for Windows 10/8: http://intel.ly/1PdmvLd http://intel.ly/1PdmvLd or Windows 7*: http://intel.ly/25JPVYX http://intel.ly/25JPVYX

5. Disconnect the system from the internet and proceed with steps in the guide above (step# 4)

This is anormal behavior with geeneric drivers (the ones provided), but I am postive you will be able to get them installed with the steps above.
