Recently my intel proccesor was damaged, it is a celeron 340 D SL7TS. My inquiry is can I use a similar processor but with a different SPEC Code such as 340 D SL7Q9, or SL7RN....etc....

Thanks for the help

Hello,

It all depends whether the board suports it or not and also the bios.

Even on some intel boards, different cpu with different sl number are not validated, actually this may invalidate your warranty as it is not operating under recommended conditions.

Make sure to check from the board manufacturer.

All the best,

Kind Regards,

Aryan.

Thank you Aryan, I'm not too concerned about invalidating the warranty, the Intel motherboard is over 5 years old. But to be on the safe side ,I'll purchase a processor with the same SL # ....Thanks for the response
