How to completely uninstall WIFI Drivers?

I have a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I (rev. 4.2) that has an Intel 8260 Wireless card. WiFi is working fine but I can't get the computer to recognize the bluetooth. In device manager, it shows as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". Checking its properties, it shows error code 43. I tried to follow the solution posted in https://communities.intel.com/thread/96734 https://communities.intel.com/thread/96734, but I am unable to completely uninstall the existing wifi drivers.

- I have uninstalled it from the programs list (both wifi and bt intel drivers)

- I have uninstalled the drivers using device manager (both wifi and bt), although there is no checkbox option to delete the drivers that are related to it

When I restart, the wifi shows up again in the device manager and the bt is again showing up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

How do I completely get rid of the drivers without reformatting the system?

Hello svrndmngjr,

To uninstall your wireless drivers, you can follow the instructions in the following articles:

It's important to note that your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 will show up under two separate entries in the Device Manager. One being your WLAN, and the second for your Bluetooth module. And just the same, you will need to install/uninstall both drivers individually. Ideally, we recommend using the drivers provided to you by your hardware vendor. As an alternative, you may try our generic drivers.

While your wireless will communicate with your system through PCIe, your Bluetooth works through USB. In this case it's important to follow the integration instructions provided to you by Gigabyte*.

The device manager error code 43 signals that "Windows* has stopped this device because it has reported problems" (source: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/310123 Error codes in Device Manager). If the information we've provided doesn't resolve the issue, you can check and make sure you're running the latest BIOS version for your system. Or, having exhausted all other options, you may need to contact Gigabyte* for warranty support.
