i updated my intel hd graphics driver now my laptop is going crazy

not good at this stuff, i updated my intel hd graphics driver now my laptop is going crazy it changes the brightness and turns off the screen and the laptop restarts whenever i play a game or any demanding stuff, can anyone help me out?

and its a hp laptop with i7 and 8gb ram and nvidia gt740m 2gb card windows 10

Which i7? There are multiple generations of the i7.

What make and model computer?

Since you specifically mentioned Intel HD Graphics and Windows 10, you may want to look at this, as your Intel graphics may not be supported under Windows 10:
