OK.. so If I disable the NIC bios doesn't this eliminate my ability to PXE boot?
Most of the point is that it *should* work correctly and try them later in the sequence. I'd like to keep PXE boot capability for DR Ghost load...
The boot sequence *should* hit:
2) Hard Drive
4) EFI shell
Especially since this is how I've set it.
I also have a SC5500BC in the Intel chassis.
I found also that it would always try to boot from the NIC unless that option was disabled.
Even updating to latest BIOS etc did not resolve it.
To boot from any device first I HAVE to disable the option to boot from NIC even though I have NOT set the NIC in the boot option area.
No RAID Card -- I'm just using the Software/BIOS raid to mirror two drives.
After the two NIC cards try to PXE boot, the system goes on to boot perfectly fine on my mirrored drive or CD (whichever's installed)...
The issue is that the boot sequence specified in BIOS is being ignored.. if i F6 to do manual boot selection, it bypasses properly... I'd suggest that this is possibly a bug un the latest BIOS release.
