Hello,

I have many issues with internet connection. Is there any tool I can use to make sure there are no hardware issues related to this wireless network card? I just want to be 100% sure I can exclude hardware issues with this card. I would like to find application that can perform test and write whether all is good or there is any issue with the card.

Thank you!

Hello inteluser246,

If you suspect that your Intel® Wireless Adapter is having hardware issues, your best point of contact will be the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support; you can also http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html Contact Intel Support and one of our agents will be glad to help. Keep in mind that hardware replacement must be determined and performed by the computer manufacturer.

There are some tools we have available to make a basic assessment of the wireless adapter, such as Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software Manual Diagnostics Tool and Intel® Wireless Troubleshooter. The availability of these depends on the adapter driver and Operating System version. You can find more information about this in the following documents:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005787.html Running the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software Manual Diagnostics Tool

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000006634.html Intel® Wireless Troubleshooter

As we mentioned, these are basic tools that can let you know of possible issues, however, it is always better to check configuration, adapter status and other details found in Windows* Device Manager, along with any applicable troubleshooting.

If you consider that your computer is having hardware issues, please let us know the details and we will help as much as we can.

Regards,

Jonathan.
