If you suspect that your Intel® Wireless Adapter is having hardware issues, your best point of contact will be the Computer Manufacturer Support; you can also Contact Intel Support and one of our agents will be glad to help. Keep in mind that hardware replacement must be determined and performed by the computer manufacturer.
There are some tools we have available to make a basic assessment of the wireless adapter, such as Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software Manual Diagnostics Tool and Intel® Wireless Troubleshooter. The availability of these depends on the adapter driver and Operating System version. You can find more information about this in the following documents:
Running the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software Manual Diagnostics Tool
Intel® Wireless Troubleshooter
As we mentioned, these are basic tools that can let you know of possible issues, however, it is always better to check configuration, adapter status and other details found in Windows* Device Manager, along with any applicable troubleshooting.
If you consider that your computer is having hardware issues, please let us know the details and we will help as much as we can.
