Hi all,
In my new HP EliteBook 850 with Win10Pro any icon and text inside the main window of any program I use is microscopic.
This happens with the programs only, while the icons and text of the Win Desktop are correctly shown.
I tried to change the basic configuration I find in the Win10 Control Panel, without success.
I tried to create another local user, but the problem is still there.
I attach an example of what I mean, and the info about my system.
Please anser me as fast as you can!
If I don't fix this issue, it's impossible for me to work.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Allan,
yes I tried with the new driver but nothing changed.
The only way I found to have an usable graphic display was to use this fix:
http://windows10_dpi_blurry_fix.xpexplorer.com/ Windows 10 DPI blurry / fuzzy text font fix - XP Explorer
... and after two reboots I changed the display resolution down to 1920x1080.
The display is not clear and detailed as I expected, blurry characters, but at least I can work with the PC.
If you have any other solution so to have my display usable at full resolution, please let me know.
Thanks for your support.

Hi allan,
I installed this driver.
Just after installing and rebooting the PC, everything was fine, correct resolution, text and icons.
But at the next reboot all was lost and the weird icons and text were back again.... 😞
Thanks for your efforts.

Sorry to hear that. That's unfortunate.
Are you getting the same issue if you access the computer BIOS?
This will tell you if you have a hardware problem or driver issue, in that case, you would need to contact your http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/support.html computer manufacturer for warranty service or wait for newer drivers at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Hi Allan,
yes I contacted HP (after several attempts at the phone...).
They helped me to install the latest chipset and display driver.
We also checked the BIOS configuration.
In the end nothing changed....
The situation is still as you can see at the window at the top of this topic: the icons and text are correct on the Win10 desktop, but the main window of most any applications (besides MS Office tools, that are ok) are messed up, with microscopic icons and characters.
They say, and I agree, that this is not an HW issue, the PC is working fine. Simply, this HP EliteBook 850 G3 with HD 520 graphic card doesn't work ok with Windows 10 Pro.
They suggested me to swap Win 10 with the previous Win 7 to see what happens. But they are not going to give me a new Win 7 licence since this is not possible with the PC offer I accept, and I really don't want to pay one euro more to solve this issue since this is not my fault.
A real bad situation.

Hi,
Thanks for your patience.
The following is the response provided by the engineering team.
This is a problem with the specific application not scaling to 4K and high pixel densities correctly. This should be reported to thehttp://proforum.bose.com/eve application developer. Windows 10 Anniversary Edition now offers better tools for the app developers to better handle the scaling process.
PCs today are being equipped with displays with increasingly high pixel densities, also referred to as dots-per-inch (DPI). The Surface Pro 4, for example, ships with a display that accommodates a 200% display scale factor. For applications that don't handle dynamic display scaling, this means that the image of the application shown on screen would either be reduced by half when displayed on an external display or doubled (depending on which monitor was configured as the "main display" when the user logged into Windows). As the difference between the display scaling of monitors increases the blurriness of applications becomes more and more noticeable.

I hope this help.

Hi Allan,
I'm really sorry to hear that, but I must accept it.
So, in order to use my new laptop I have to wait for all the software houses to update their tools I'm using.... 😞
Thanks for your help.

Hi Allan,
thanks for your help too.
But unfortunately I installed this driver and I still have the issue.
No difference in performance if compared with the old driver.
Let me know.
No problem for me to be a beta tester, but I want this problem fixed as soon as possible.
Thanks.
