The problem in driver for processor i3-6098p with Windows 7 x64.

Installation successful but bugs in running

Hardware:

1. MB: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2PV v.1.0 (testing with both BIOS F2 (prodaction) and after update to F3)

2. CPU: Intel Core i3-6098P

3. MEM: Team Group Inc. 8Gb DDR4 2133; CL 15-15-15-36

4. HDD: WD Blue WD10EZEX 1.0TB

SofwWare:

1. Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64

2. .Net Framework 4.5

3. Drivers Pack for Motherboard by Gigabyte

I spent 3 tests:

1. with Intel HD Graphics Driver from MB Drivers Pack

2. with downloading from site intel.com (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ru/product/93366/Intel-Core-i3-6098P-Processor-3M-Cache-3-60-GHz- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ru/product/93366/Intel-Core-i3-6098P-Processor-3M-Cache-3-60-GHz-)

3. with Intel tools "Intel Driver Update Utility"

In all tests driver was installed successful without errors and in hardware list I can see "Intel(R) HD Graphics 510"

In all tests have some problems:

1. After installing graphic driver and reboot PC automatically start system tools WinSAT. But WinSAT crashes with offer send report to Microsoft about crash. Then OS start normally. Windows Aero works normally.

2. If run Intel Graphics Control Panel and closed then Control Panel crashes

3. If run Windows game like Soliter or MineSweeper or similar then game crashes with message "not found suitable graphics device" (translate from russian).

4. In display properties window on tabs "troubleshooting" button "Change settings" disabled and hardware acceleration control disabled

How to resolve this problem?

Hello Mazurik_Igor,

Could you please let me know the driver version you are running? Please go to Device Manger> Display adapters> Intel(R) HD Graphics right click on Properties and then go to Driver, you will be able to see the version installed.

Have you tried using the Microsoft Basic Driver?

Regards,

Amy.

Hello, Amy

Thanks for your answer

I am use different version drivers. Started with the latest version (on official Intel web-site this driver pack was marked as version "15.40.28.4501"), same driver will be installed by "Intel Driver Update Utility", then I try install some older drivers. The problem is not solved.

At once after install Windows7 x64 in system installed "Microsoft Basic Driver". When try run windows games (f.e.) with this driver I had another stable error but forgot it discription. Like "not all graphic card function runing, update your driver" (but this is rough translation of what I remember)

Regards,

Igor.

Thank you for that information.

Could you please try installing this version one more time https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88351 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]? But this time use this method for the installation http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005474.html How to Manually Install a Graphics Driver in Windows 7*. That method will the ensure the installation of the driver.
