RAID Web Console 2 on Ubuntu

    elver

I am trying to set up the RAID Web Console 2 on 64-bit Ubuntu Server to manage the RS2BL040 controller. Ubuntu is not a supported distributed, so I manually extracted all the files from the RPM archives and copied them to my system by hand.

I followed the advice at http://communities.intel.com/message/68941 to install an older version of the 32-bit libstdc++ which seems to be working fine.

Now I am trying to get the vivaldiframeworkd service going. The startup script dies quietly and when I run startup.sh in the Framework directory by hand, this happens:

      root@sahtel:/usr/local/RAID Web Console 2/Framework# ./startup.sh
      MSM Framework version 2.12
      #

Does anyone have any experience with this? What am I doing wrong?
