Hello puros ,
Thank you for joining the Intel Communities.
You have performed plenty of troubleshooting so far which is good, what I can recommend to you would be the following:
1. Perform a BIOS recovery to the latest version: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005532.html
2. Check if any of the blinking codes matches with your unit: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-nuc-boards/000005854.html
3. If the problem persists, please reach us over the phone (desired), email or chat (desired) to check warranty options

Please let me know how it goes
I followed bios recovery to lasted Bios with the Bio file put in a USBkey. No change. Still no video, no bios signs which can permit me to say there was an update in progress.
The power button isn't blinking.
It seems there is a resolution problem... Is there a way to reset or force Nuc resolution ?
Thank you for the quick answer, puros. If you were not able to see any progress during the recovery, then this is probably a faulty unit.
There are no drivers loaded at that point, so the system should always display something as long as the system is working fine, resolution settings or drivers are not involved/used while following that process. This is my reasoning to tell you this could be a faulty unit or video port.
Please give us a call, chat or email in order to check warranty options for your Intel® NUC Kit DC3217BY.
I have the same configuration, same problem, and have tried the same thing. The only thing to add is that with the jumper on 1-2 the unit turns on, after a while it reboots and then turns on again. This keeps on happening in an eternal loop. Bought the unit from http://dustin.no on tuesday.
Yes. No lights are blinking. Both (internal and power button) have constant light.
FYI: I contacted Intel support by phone, and they told me to return the NUC to seller in order to have it replaced.
I ordered the NUC6i7YK 2 days ago on amazon and had the same exact problem ... sending it back as defective.
