which antennas for my Intel wireless card?

Hi,

unfortunately I'm sure about which antennas and cables to buy for my Intel AC 7260 card which has to fit into a fanless case.

This is the card: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Wireless-AC-Network-Bluetooth-7260-HMWWB-R/dp/B00N7474CS

This kit to me looks all right:

https://www.amazon.it/dp/B00DP64JRG/ref=pd_luc_rh_cps_03_02_t_img_lh?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Super Power Supply® 2 x 6dBi RP-SMA Dual Band 2.4GHz 5GHz + 2 x 8in / 20cm U.fl / IPEX Cable Antenna Mod Kit No Solderin…

Please do this kind of cables require soldering on the card or is it just a snap in installation?

Also, I some some antennas advertised for working on 2.4Ghz spectrum only and with a gain of 8dB (rather than 6). Are please all the same or should I be careful when choosing for them to be dual band and offering a certain dB value? I'm actually talking about this TP-Link antenna:

https://www.amazon.it/TP-Link-TL-ANT2408CL-Antenna-Desktop-Omnidirezionale/dp/B002VYP5QW/ref=pd_rhf_sc_p_img_5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2SC61TCT4X7QGDXBB1HW TP-Link TL-ANT2408CL Antenna Desktop Omnidirezionale, 2.4 Ghz, 8 dBi Indoor, Senza Cavo: Amazon.it: Informatica

Many thanks for help/support

horizonbrave,

Regarding external antennas for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, we highly recommend to contact the manufacturer of your system for additional information on this matter.

In order to put you on the right path in order to find the right antenna, our adapters use Murata HSC connectors. the equivalent and more popular to this is the IPEX MHF4 2.4/5GHz WiFi antennas.

Since Intel does not fabricate external antennas for wireless adapters, our support regarding this specific item is limited to what we have informed you above.

We hope the information provided helps you to reach your goal, however, consulting with your system manufacturer is key to more accurate information on this matter.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Aleki
