driver problem Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0

Hi,

In Computer management there is one device that is not identified (other devices). I have installed all the drivers from the support page for my motherboard (Asus X99-DELUXE II) and for my nVidia card.

After lots of googling i find that people point to "Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0" so I downloaded this driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26103/Intel-Turbo-Boost-Max-Technology-3-0

And it did help. But looking further into the driver it does say it need further installation under Events. I think this is also why under Event viewer i get application errors.

So what exactly is the issue and how to solve it?

My CPU is i7 6850K which does support Turbo Boost according to

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000021587.html Frequently Asked Questions about Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0

I have updated the Bios to the latest 1003 version (recently released).

Not sure what else i can do. Sadly i cant even make it stop loading at start, I disabled the service called "ITBMService" or the display name "Intel(R) Turbo Boost Max 3.0 Technology Application Service" but still the exe file ITBM.exe still loads with windows. ITs not under Start-up or even in the registry under run.

There are some additional steps to install Intel® Turbo Boost 3.0

TBMT Driver/Application Installation

1. Important: Uninstall previous version of TBMT Driver/Application before installing this version of TBMT Driver/Application. o Go to Windows Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall a Program, and uninstall any previous version of Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 software. o Reboot the system.

2. Boot to Windows normally (not in Safe mode). o Note: For Windows 7 OS, ensure Microsoft security update KB3033929 is installed prior to TBMT driver/application installation. Without this update, driver installation may encounter warning messages from Operating System. This security update is not necessary for Windows 8 or later Windows Operating Systems.

3. Unzip the TBMT Driver/Control Panel Application package.

4. In Windows explorer, Right-click on INF file and select Install. o Note: If Install option is not available in Windows Explorer, go to Device Manager, Locate the device that has Hardware ID INT3510, and Update Driver Software by pointing to this INF.

5. After successful installation, reboot the system.

Thanks for the reply Allan but sadly none of this helps me with my problem.

I install the driver for the first time so there is nothing to uninstall.

Also i'm on Windows 10 x64 with all the latest updates so again nothing to do here.

Lastly i did update the driver by going to Device Manager which is how i always update my drivers when i have a inf file.

So all and all i still have the problem with -->Device ACPI\INT3510\2&daba3ff&0 requires further installation.

I get the same message in Event viewer:

Hi vampyren,

Thank you for your patience and I am sorry for the delay on my answer.

After further investigation about the message of the Intel® Turbo Boost, we have concluded that this is the first message in the Events log generated before the installation starts.

However, if we scroll further down the list of events, we'll see that the driver has been installed correctly.

We could say that this message is only a concern if it is the last or the only event in the log or if there is a yellow bang in device manager or if the functionality doesn't work properly.

Since we did not notice a yellow bang and functionality is also fine without any issues, we do not think it is an issue.
