Can't Record Minecraft With Fraps With Current Driver

This may not be a good place to find help, but nobody else knows what to do. I record Minecraft on my HP laptop with a program called Fraps. Lately however, there was a windows 10 update that updated the graphics driver. After this update, all my recordings look like this:

I have tried everything I know of to do. I tried rolling back the driver, but it doesn't give me the option. I have tried reinstalling Fraps 4 times. I have tried other recording software, but unfortunately Fraps is the only one I good good frame rate with. I believe the problem to be the update to my Intel HD Graphics 520. It was not doing this before the update. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this?

Hello CompBox:

Since the graphics controller on your laptop is Intel® HD Graphics 520, on the following link you will find the latest version of the graphics driver, please delete the one that is currently on the laptop and install this one:

Driver 4501:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88355

Also, the following is a Beta driver, if the 4501 version does not work, you can always try this one, is 4530:

Another option will be to test the Microsoft drivers, by uninstalling the current driver, and then trying a Windows update.

If after trying the steps above, the problem remains, in that case, the best thing to do will be to get in contact with HP directly, to verify if they have an specific graphics driver for the laptop and if it is fully compatible with Windows® 10, or to get further technical or warranty assistance.

HP's phone number: 1 800-474-6836

HP's support site: http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

Or you can try to look for the drivers on the following link as well:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/ http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/

Additionally, you can always get in contact with Fraps support for further assistance on the program:

http://www.fraps.com/contact.php http://www.fraps.com/contact.php

Any questions, please let me know.

I uninstalled my current graphics driver to replace it with the one you suggested. However, now I am getting an error message when I try to install the new one saying "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software".

Did I mess something up? o.o

Hello CompBox:

Not at all, that means the laptop did not install that driver, but we can always go back to the previous driver.

Did you try the link for HP I gave you before? In there the link will detect the model of the laptop, and it will show the proper drivers for it, including the graphics driver.

What is the model of the laptop, are you sure it fully supports Windows® 10?

Any questions, please let me know.
