On your HT-F9750W in Display setting, check settings - UHD: Auto and Move Frame: Auto.
After reading HT-F9750W I saw that your audio system is limited 24 Fps input for UHD resolution.
Please read this thread: NUC6I7KYK (Skull Canyon NUC): No 5.1 over HDMI
There is a link for firmware update. It may help you.
Yes, I tried that but no change.
When I try installing the firmware I get an error.
I was trying to check specifications for the Audio receiver, I was not able to find if this is HDMI 2.0, would you please confirm that information?
Please bear in mind the HDMI connection will handle 4K at 24hz.
At least Im using a 2.0 cable, that Im sure of, but Im not sure my audio receiver is supporting it.
However, If I would connect my NUC directly to my TV (LG55EG920V), is there any chance of getting correct surround sound output to my receiver?
The audio specifications for your TV are 2.0 Channel. If you are using HDMI 2.0 version and the receiver is 2.0, you need this patch https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26061/HDMI-2-0-Firmware-Update
Please provide any error messages when trying to run the patch, if you have any.
when I run the program it says first ´´the HDMI adapter has been detected. It is connected to an INTEL GPU.´´
I click ok, then an error appears ´´OUI mismatch!´´
I click ok, then a confirmation dialog appears and I choose ´´Yes´´
A new window appears and I click on the ´´Update Firmware´´ button.
Then a new error appears ´´Product ID error! Please check your firmware!´´
After I click ok I cannot close the program.
the manual that comes with the update does imply that that error means the device isn't an HDMI 2.0 device. Maybe the TV needs to be updated? dunno.
But the fact that the error does cause the update to hang seems like a bit of a bug.
I have latest software for the TV, I havent check formware, if thats different.
However I tried connect the NUC directly to my TV again and use the SPDIF digital output for surround, but then I get no option in the Realtek speaker configuration for surround sound, onyl stereo.
I have installed latest driver for Realtek sound.
Ok, Im sure my TV has the latest firmware now.
I just checked my TV settings and I found I can enable "HDMI ULTRA HD DEEP COLOUR" for my HDMI connection.
If I do that I can get 60Hz even if I have my NUC connected to my receiver, but my sound disappears totally.
I tried restarting everything but no luck, the sound is gone.
The only way of getting back the sound is to disable the ultra deep colour.
Why does a picture setting affect if I have sound or not?
This is getting really frustrating.
Are you able to select 4K at 24hz?
I am checking specifications of the graphics controller and the maximum screen resolution is 4096x2304@24Hz. I mentioned this earlier. Please confirm.
