The free upgrade ended at the end of July.
Yes, you can do a clean install. No, you cannot use your W8.1 key.
You can purchase a copy of W10 here: Windows – Microsoft Store
The link for the bios is currently broken.
Hey, thanks for shedding light on this feature DeanGibson.
Apparently I am eligible for the upgrade, but man one problem after another the Compute Stick only has 13.3GB out of 21.9GB of storage (after removing every single program/metro app/ccleaner junk). The W10 upgrade requires 16GB of internal space free, and so far I still haven't found the option to install it through USB (via Assistive Technology). Know of any other way to relieve my system of 3GB more space?
- Have you run disk cleanup? Use the option to delete unneeded system files.
- You can insert an empty, NTFS-formatted USB memory stick (at least 16GB) in the USB slot, and it will use that for temporary storage.
