I am having the exact same problem and I have tried everything suggested in this thread so far, no luck.
I have been searching for a solution for several weeks and there are dozens and dozens of people reporting the exact same problem in many many websites
No one anywhere has found a solution that works that I could find
It really looks like a fundamental problem with either the device, the driver or windows 10.
The only thing that works consistently is to go into the device manager, disable the intel HD audio device and then wait about 20 seconds and then enable it again.
If you don't wait long enough between disabling and reenabling, it doesn't reappear as an audio device
Without doing that, it does not show up ANYWHERE as an available audio device, it completely disappears from the system anywhere except in device manager.
