Does the Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8350 Processor running Windows 10 full or Windows 10 IOT support MMX and SSE extensions?

The Upboard uses

the x5-Z8350.

http://up-shop.org/up-boards/44-up-board-4gb-ram-64-gb-emmc.html http://up-shop.org/up-boards/44-up-board-4gb-ram-64-gb-emmc.html

and would use the Windows 10 OS either full or IOT

version.

  1. Does the Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8350

Processor running Windows 10 full or Windows 10 IOT support MMX and SSE

    extensions?
  2. Does the Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8350

Processor running Windows 10 full or Windows 10 IOT support MMX and SSE

extensions via hardware or via software emulation?

Intel spec online

for the x5-Z8350 does not specifically state MMX or SSE support.

  1. Does the OS provide SSE and MMX or does the CPU

    or GPU provide this?
  2. Does using the full version of windows give you

    this capability?

The intel site Does not mention Instruction

Set Extensions SSE4.1/4.2, SSSE3, SSE3, SSE2, AES-NI

On the intel website I compared all ATOM processors and

found the Z35# class which does specifically state that is does support

Instruction Set Extensions SSE4.1/4.2, SSSE3, SSE3, SSE2, AES-NI

This link below has conflicting data for the Z8350 vs the

Z3580 vs what I was able to find on intel site. Sometimes the Wikipedia

site is not accurate.

SSE was designed to replace MMX™ Technology. It has expanded over the generations of Intel® Processors to include SSE2, SSE3/SSE3S, and SSE4. Each iteration has brought new instructions and increased performance.
