Currently there are missing heads when playing the FIFA 17 demo. Otherwise it runs fine. Will anything be done about this?

Please try installing the latest graphics driver; you can download it at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40- Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

Please uninstall the older driver first, see here http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html uninstalling the Intel® Graphics Driver.

Once you uninstall the driver restart the system and then install the Intel graphics driver manually, please see http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html How to Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 8* or Windows 8.1*

This driver is support for both the Intel® HD Graphics 4400 and the Intel® HD Graphics 5500

Best wishes,

Ivan

I bought the full version of 'FIFA 17' from Origin and I've noticed that in cutscenes players have no heads, but the game runs fine...

Maybe because the new 'Frostbite Engine' used in FIFA 17?

My specs:

- i5 4200U

- 8 GB RAM

- Intel HD Graphics 4400 - [ driver version: 20.19.15.4501 ]

- Windows 10 64 Bit

Any way to fix it?

Mmm, don't think FIFA 17 will work right with Intel graphics cards. Think I'll just buy an XBox 360 second hand and buy the game for that instead, less messing about.

But its already working. It plays well. It takes long to load in the journey but other wise , its fine. The main problem is just the player heads. Surely, something must can be done with this. Whether a patch, new driver or someway to lower the spec to what was used last year. Someone must find a solution.

Thank you for the information, Have you report this issue to FIFA 17 to see if they have some kind of fix for this? Maybe a patch that can make it work better.

Please check the recommended settings to play FIFA 2016 here:

https://gameplay.intel.com/GamesSettings/8582/81016/Intel%C2%AE%20Core%E2%84%A2%20i5-4210U%20Processor%20(3M%20Cache,%20up%20to%202.70%20GHz) https://gameplay.intel.com/GamesSettings/8582/81016/Intel%C2%AE%20Core%E2%84%A2%20i5-4210U%20Processor%20(3M%20Cache,%20up%20to%202.70%20GHz)

I know that you are playing FIFA 2017 but this settings may help you.

Ivan

Joey have you tried the full game yet? I had the same problem with the demo, but everything else fine, once i messed with the settings. But now on the full game it's crashing after the 'press start' menu. It may well do with you too. I'm still troubleshooting it for a solution - going to try Windows 8 compatability and updating the directx.

The full version is advertised to be out next week. How do you have it already? I only have the demo. I messed with every setting but nothing changes. ...

Ok please tell me how what ever you are going to do goes

I have it on Origin Access, you get 10 hours, so I'm troubleshooting it before I part with £50 for it.

Bad news I'm afraid. I can't get Fifa 17 to work, I think our graphics cards are just too weak for it. I tried a number of things - updating the driver, running and changing the dxcpl settings, playing with the game settings. I had some success. To begin with I couldn't get past the 'Press Start' page with Marcus Reus. Then I managed to get past that but it would always crash on the skills game before an actual game. Somehow, no idea how, I actually got on to a game once but it was so laggy. No heads issue was there throughout.

I'm thinking of doing the following:

- Not bothering with FIFA 17 and carry on playing on FIFA 16 - currently enjoying a new career mode as Hull City - an opening defeat away at Blackburn followed by a 5-3 victory against Barnsley in the EFL and 3-1 victory over Charlton at home. Even bought Marcus Rashford from United for 2.6 million.

- Get a cheap 2nd hand Xbox 360 and buy the game for that.

- Wait till Christmas when I can afford an XBox One and get the game for that (also Christmas/Jan sales might bring prices down too!)

Have you had any luck with the game joey7?

What is that driver Ivan? Why would we have that one installed? Is there a workaround for those who have laptops made by Acer - i.e. I can't simply download .exe driver files from Intel because it won't let me because Acer have configure the drivers.

Also, would it be worth trying this command?

Dism /online /add-capability /capabilityname:Tools.Graphics.DirectX~~~~0.0.1.0

With a bit of research there's a lot about launching from dcpl.exe to launch a game on a weak graphics card, which Intel graphics cards are. I understand that in Windows 10 this should already be there but needs to be enabled by the command above?
