          Hello IoT_srinivas,

The Edison board doesn't recognize the USB pen drive by default, but mounting a USB flash drive in Edison is very simple, you need to verify that its file system is in a compatible format like FAT32. These are the steps to mount a flash drive on Edison:

          mkdir /media/flash_drive_directory
          mount /dev/sda1 /media/flash_drive_directory

You should now be able to connect a USB flash drive and find its content in /media/flash_drive_directory. Now you can backup the image to a USB drive and restore from it using the thread that you provided.

I hope you find this information useful.

          Regards,
          Leonardo
