Acquiring Color Camera Poses while Scanning.

Hi all,

I am trying to acquire the color image and its corresponding camera pose while scanning with scan module. I am already able to acquire the color image but there's no way to obtain the cameras through the scan API. Should I use scene perception module for this purpose? Will camera poses be synchronised with scan module?

Thanks in advance,

Eduard.

Hello eram1205,

Could you please provide us with the product you have model and maker?

Honestly I'm not sure about the issue and product you have but if you give us more details about it I will appreciate it.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your answer. Just to clarify, there's no problem with the product, is just a question about the SDK.

I am working with a R200 Realsense camera and using the SDK Intel Realsense R2 version. I am implementing an app for scanning and I would like to have access the depth or color camera pose used by the scanning module. I read through the API documentation and I didn't find any method in "3D scan" module to acquire the different camera poses. On the other hand, there is another module called Scene Perception which does have this functionality with a method called "GetCameraPose". The question is, should I use the method from Scene Perception module to obtain the color/depth camera poses or is there any other way to obtaine the camera poses internally used by the 3D Scan module (which are the ones I need)?

Thank you!

Eduard.

Being that the case, you will get better support for the SDK at the following support site.

Dear Ivan,

As you suggested, I also posted in the developer zone ( https://software.intel.com/es-es/node/685214 https://software.intel.com/es-es/node/685214 ) but I have not received any answer yet. Is there any other place I could ask for such doubts? Where could I find faster technical support? As you'll understand it's quite a lot for projects to wait 5 days for a simple answer.

Best regards,

Eduard.
