Small artifacts on Intel HD5500 Graphics

Hello,

I have an Acer aspire laptop with Intel i5 processor which has intel 5500 HD graphics and Nvidia's 940M. The problem I'm facing is i see small dashes like artifacts on the screen. These artifacts disappear when i disable the intel graphics and install it as Microsoft basic display adapter. Please help to identify the right solution to address this artifact problem. I have also attached a screenshot of the problem.

With regards.

Hi Iam_No_Hero,

In regards to your graphics performance issue; I need to clarify, your laptop has Hybrid graphics, it means Intel and Nvidia graphics work together, it is necessary to use the drivers provided by your PC manufacturer according to the current operating system. Our generic drivers are prepared to work alone.

I suggest you to visit Acer support website and download the latest BIOS, chipset and graphics drivers for both cards.

Acer Support

If the problem continues please fill out our sticky note plus send me the results of Intel® System Support Utility.

Thank you Mike C. But unfortunately, I would not be able to power on my laptop! I just changed the thermal paste and it would never go live again. Tried to drain the static charge too. That laptop was a gift, so I don't have the invoice. So no warranty. Bad luck is just in love with me.
