    WiFi Link 5300 dropping packets

      Hey everyone.

About a couple of months ago I bought a WiFi Link 5300 to replace the 5100 that came with my laptop. It's great, but every once in awhile I'll start getting serious packet loss - anywhere from 15-40%. This will continue until I either restart the laptop or disable/reenable the card in Device Manager (which makes me think it's not hardware).

Here's a sample ping test I did a few minutes ago to my gateway:

Pinging 192.168.1.1 with 32 bytes of data:

The router is a Linksys WRT310N v1 running DD-WRT. I've ruled out the router since I have other N devices that work properly. I've tried setting the router to use a 40MHz band, and then a 20MHz band, with no difference. I'm using the clearest available channel I have. Disabling N on the card solves the problem. But - this is an N card with an N router, so I'd like to be able to use N!

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with the latest WiFi drivers (only) from the Intel download site.

Any suggestions? I'm pulling my hair out over this one.
