Just had the idea of updating the display driver. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Another idea is to change to the newer model stick: STK1AW32SC
I have a similar issue with my A8 sticks. have you found any way to make hdmi more stable?
Could you please attach the result of the Intel® System Support Utility?
What resolution are you setting? What’s the model of the TV or Monitor you are connecting the Intel® Compute Stick?
Mpinner, I would recommend you to contact your A8 stick® manufacturer in order to install their driver.
The Support Utility has no Ubuntu versions.
I noticed HDMI on my STCK1A8LFC (intel manufactured?) does not work sometimes or flashes on and off.
Please make sure you are using the latest BIOS and Graphics Driver version:
Intel® Compute Stick STCK1A32WFC and Intel® Compute Stick STCK1A8LFC
BIOS Update v: 0031
Intel® HD Graphics Driver: v 184.108.40.20658
Mpinner, in your case please verify you are using the latest BIOS version 0031.
If the issue persists, could you please fill out the information asked in this site?
