Can gkrellm read temperature sensor on D510MO?

    spm_trp

I'm running a D510MO without a fan (at least in the winter). I would like to be able to read the temperature without rebooting and reading it in the BIOS. I'm using Puppy Linux 4.3.1.

Gkrellm can read temperature from the sensors included on this mainboard. This applies to both core temperature as well as the sensors from mainboard. The sensors are provided by w83627thf-isa-0290 and for the core temperature you need coretemp support in the kernel. Relevant kernel config entries: CONFIG_SENSORS_W83627HF and CONFIG_SENSORS_CORETEMP. Example output of sensors from my system:

          w83627thf-isa-0290

          Adapter: ISA adapter

          VCore:       +1.17 V  (min =  +0.00 V, max =  +3.84 V)

          +12V:        +4.07 V  (min = +12.10 V, max =  +8.51 V)   ALARM

          +3.3V:       +2.00 V  (min =  +0.40 V, max =  +3.73 V)

          +5V:         +4.96 V  (min =  +0.53 V, max =  +0.59 V)   ALARM

          -12V:        +2.28 V  (min = -14.25 V, max =  +1.13 V)   ALARM

          V5SB:        +5.00 V  (min =  +1.26 V, max =  +5.89 V)

          VBat:        +3.30 V  (min =  +3.44 V, max =  +2.77 V)   ALARM

Hi I'm trying to read the CPU temp in Windows - I see that the WMI class Win32_TemperatureProbe class exists, but that CurrentReading is not populated, see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/306852

what is the correct a method of reading the core temp? Its available in the BIOS, and it seems to be posible in Linux, so there must be a way.

            TIA

Sorry should have made myself clear, I want to read the tempertaure programmatically. The board uses the Winbond

W83627THG-I and the docos claim that the information is available, but not how to access it. In C# ideally but I can translate.

              TIA

On Debian I've installed lm-sensors and ran sensors-detect. After that, the sensors worked in gkrellm.
