My Intel Dual band wireless-AC 7260 looses it's IP after wake up from sleep

Every time I wake my computer from sleep it looses it's IP. I have the latest Bios update and the latest Driver for the device but it still wont work. I go through the network repair, disabling and re-enabling the network card or restarting the computer and it will get an IP.

Hello Tim.L,

As we understand, your wireless adapter is not connecting to the network after resuming from sleep. Here are a couple actions that may help in this case:

1. Go the Device Manager, under network adapters, look for the Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Wireless Adapter and open the properties. Go to the "Power Management" tab and toggle Off/On the option "Allow the computer to turn off this devices to save power". Then check if the behavior changes.

2. Set the Wireless adapter power plan settings to maximum performance when plugged in and on battery:

3. Update the Firmware of your Wireless Access Point
