No audio after upgrading to ATI Radeon HD4350 graphics and Vista upgrade

I have the Intel (Love Valley P) P965 Viiv Motherboard R0 [Part #4006135R]  and everything on it worked fine under WinXP. I updated to Vista and the sound isn't working. I installed an ATI graphics Radeon 4350 card with HDMI output which might be part of the issue. I am thinking maybe the sound is being sent to the HDMI and not the audio jack? The volume icon has a red X and says "No audio output device is installed". I updated to the latest Motherboard BIOS Update Version MQ96510J.15A.0386 but still the same problem. Under Device Manager it shows under the Sound, video and game controllers that I have ATI High Def Audio Device, ATI Unified AV Strean driver, and a Sigma Tel High Definition Audio CODEC driver installed. Any suggestions?
