Compute Stick (x5-Z8300) Windows 10 Scaling Issue

Hello!

I'm seeing that back in June Bryce stated that the fix to the resolution scaling in Windows 10 (for old low-resolution games and such) did not apply to Cherry Trail-based devices as the issue wasn't known to be affecting them at the time when the patch was made. (The post in question is here: )

I'm running 4474 and for the life of me I can't get it to do anything other than output a 1080p signal with the unscaled 1024x768, 800x600, etc. output centered in the screen. The options are present to change scaling but they don't appear to work, so I'm assuming this hasn't been patched yet for Cherry Trail. Does anyone know if there's any ETA on a driver fix for this, or have a workaround?

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere - I haven't had any luck finding anything.

Thanks!

Hi Picklefork,

Unfortunately the change request [RCR] for this was denied. At this point, I would need substantial justification to appeal the request. If this request comes from many other users I will appeal the RCR.

This case has been documented and provided to management as guidance for future ComputeStick implementations.

Hi Bryce@Intel, have you had any luck so far with getting an answer from the devs? Unfortunately the way it is right now makes playing older games that run in any resolution other than 1920x1080 extremely difficult.

Thanks!

Hello:

Thank you very much to Bryce@Intel for your assistance on this thread..

To Picklefork:

In regard to your inquiry, there is no official information from Intel yet, stating that there will be a new driver fix for the compute stick, so, there is no information regarding that matter at this moment, let me apologize for that.

At this point, then, the best thing to do, will be to wait for Bryce@Intel to provide the response from our developers, regarding a possible resolution for this matter.

Regards
