I use a nuc5ppyh. it works well. now i want to install a SSD - it does not work. i tried a ADATA sp550 and a Samsung SSD 750 EVO. i could Install windows10- it works, after reboot - no device.
in Bios at SATA i see the SSD, but in uefi boot is no bootable device
Have you verified that, after installing the O/S, that this particular disk was selected as the default for booting? Check the boot order in BIOS Setup (Visual BIOS)...
Hope this helps,
There is no bootable disk in order. with HDD it works, with SSD not
Is the SSD showing up in the Legacy boot list? If so, the issue may be that the O/S was not installed in UEFI mode. If not - and this is because you have Legacy disabled - you should re-enable Legacu (other things can go wrong with it disabled)...
I am following up your case.
Were you able to follow the suggestion mentioned above?
Thanks for your interrest.
Windows setup did not create a uefi partition.??
After cloning hdd to ssd it works.
I did not change any settings in bios (mysterious !)
voiceless3, odd behavior, but I am glad to hear that is working.
