Xeon 1275v5 HD P530 whea_uncorrectable_error

Hello,

I just build new PC and everytime I enable P530 graphic card I receive BSOD with code whea_uncorrectable_error. I try to do basic debug and I'm 100% it is caused by enabling the graphic card. System is freshly build and installed.

I can now exist with the MB video card, but it's very limitating. I could just buy Xeon 1270v5 without that graphics... Everything on that computer is under warranty so please let me know, if that's some HW issue.. Thanks in advance.

The system boots up without any problem, but after about one minute, it's stuck. BSOD is received about once in 10 tries, but the system is completly stuck every time I enable the graphic card.

I am not sure how you are 'enabling' the P530 graphics contoller on the CPU, since it does not look like that motherboard has support for CPU graphics.

Check out page 17 and 83: https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/C236/MNL-1778.pdf https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/C236/MNL-1778.pdf

The VGA connector is only attached to the AST2400. Intel CPU graphics have direct connections to their outputs.

Here is an example of a Supermicro motherboard that supports Intel CPU graphics: https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/C236/MNL-1744.pdf https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/C236/MNL-1744.pdf (Page 17 for connection diagram)

You don't need to use the internal graphics for display purposes to enable it. It can be enabled (And is in theBIOS) so that you can use it for GPU type encoding..

Yes, that's exactly how I wanted to use it.

I found exactly the same thing on FAQ support on Supermicro's website - X11SSH-F + Xeon 1275v5, The user hade the same problem. They said, that ASpeed AST2400 was used for video output and the Intel HD graphic was used for transcoding.

They suggested to reinstall drivers for both of graphic cards. I'll try that on Monday, but I'm almost sure, that it won't help. It's weird, that it freezes sometimes on the login screen of Win10, sometimes after few minutes. Once it lasted for almost 5 minutes, but after I tried to start some program, it died. It dies even if I'm not using the VGA output, but I'm connected through RDP.

Try this see if it helps.. This is from SupreMicro

May I ask what version Intel VGA drivers you are loading and where is it downloaded from ? It looks like the driver not compatible issue.

Can you please try this one: 15.40.3.64.4248

https://www.supermicro.com/about/policies/disclaimer.cfm?url=ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/VGA/Intel/Core/v15.40.3.4248/win64.zip https://www.supermicro.com/about/policies/disclaimer.cfm?url=ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/VGA/Intel/Core/v15.40.3.4248/win64.zip

Also we have replaced EVERY component including the chasis and mother board..

This driver is a NEW suggestion from them

Nema5,

We have resolved our issue with the following driver.. It turns out it was a driver issue all along

ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/VGA/Intel/Core/v15.40.24.64.4454/ ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/VGA/Intel/Core/v15.40.24.64.4454/

Uh, thanks for that information. I'll try it on Monday and it will hopefully work for me as well.

Still the same problem.. It seemed to be ok, but after about 60s it died. I'll try to contact supermicro support as well and we'll see. It can be something in BIOS, it can be something more. I just need to know, it that's HW or SW issue. Thanks for help and I'll let you know, if they found any solution for me...

Hi nema5,

I consulted with our Server department, on Intel server boards if we disable embedded graphics on BIOS it is not possible to use embedded graphics on chipset neither embedded graphics on processor.

So, in this case it seems to be an alternative option of Supermicro. It is necessary to keep using the provided graphics from them. They use customized drivers.

I would appreciate if you can keep us posted with your findings.
