The Telit HE910 is the only validated modem under IDP XT 3.1. For carriers AT&T and China Unicom have been tested. But the modem should support SIMs from networks that are compatible with the modem technology-- Telit might probably have the complete list.
Thanks Arun. But the question was not about the frequency ranges supported by Telit. It is about, how does MI 3.1 auto magically gets supported APN from network provider ? I understand that pppd daemon. But still APN will have to be manually provided - isn't it ?
May I know what's your block issue you have seen while using Telit?
Thanks for the reply. The issue is that for some sim cards at some locations, MI 3.1 is not able to establish internet connection ( neither is 3g-wwan interface created nor is IP assigned ) on gateway. We tried using minicom to send SMS with AT commands. The SMS is delivered correctly for all SIM cards over ttyACM0. But the data connection is not getting established for some sim cards. Does this has any thing to with APN ? Do MI 3.1 has a problem if a 4G sim is inserted ?
Please note this not a range issue( middle of city ) as we are currently in deployment phase with Intel DK300 and the gateway is in open terrace( 6th floor ). The same SIM in gateway, when put on mobile phone shows full range.
