Yea, the installer does not seem to be able to see or access the SSD. Have you gone into BIOS Setup (Visual BIOS) and verified that the BIOS itself is seeing the SSD?
It looks like the BIOS can't see a HD either. Now to determine whether the drive is bad or, the unit is bad.
It is a new device so, it has never worked. BIOS is 0042. I'm getting the necessary hardware to test the ssd via usb but, it isn't here yet. At the moment, I have two theories: 1) the SSD is a dud 2) the NUC ssd connection is a dud. I guess I should throw on the always available option: 3) user error.
I should also add that the NUC will boot to a thumb drive.
Please let me help you on this.
Let’s try first to do a BIOS update; there are 2 more versions 0044 and 0045.
Please follow these steps: BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® NUC:
BIOS Update [SYSKLi35.86A]; Version: 0045 (Latest):
Thanks Hellen, I hooked the drive up to a usb-SATA cable and it wasn't recognized via that mechanism either. So I think it's a bad drive.
