Is the 6th generation i5 CPU fully compatible with the GeForce GTX 1060 GPU?

Well, the title actually says everything already.

I'm buying all parts to make my new pc but idk about this one.

I honestly didn't know on which forum to post this, nvidia or intel, but I chose intel, so there you go.

I have checked Nvidia's web site and the video card has been tested with an Intel® processor Core i7-5960X.

Additionally, please bear in mind that this type of compatibility depends on the video card maker, I would recommend checking on Nividia's forum for more information:
