Thank for joining the Intel Communities.
We haven't received any reports of the tool not working in fact we have tested it and the tool works just fine. What is the issue that you are having? Could please provide me with more information in order to help you? I am going to need the following report from your computer, so please download the Download Intel® System Support Utility and attach the report. Going back your question, you could try surfing the web for that version but our end the version is the 3.0 only
I select the USB and when I click "create image" I get a pop-up (translated from Dutch): "flash utility doesn't function anymore. Due to a problem the program doesn't function anymore and will be closed".
This happens on two windows-10 computers and with different usb-images.
I already found a version 2 and this one functions flawlessly on windows 7 systems.
I joined the forum as I had the same problem.... "Flash Utility Not Working".
Tried on two Windows 10 PC's and same result.
Used Rufus to create fresh bootable USB flash drive from an ISO image I downloaded from MS.
Disabled Trend Micro Antivirus, this was basically the only change from the previous two attempts.
Downloaded the USB 3 drivers from Intel found here...... Download Windows 7* USB 3.0 Creator Utility NOTE....This only works on Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 PC's
I again ran the Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator Utility, following the included instructions and I now have a Bootable USB flash drive with the USB 3 drivers slipstreamed into the Windows image.
This will enable me to load my Windows 7 Pro image onto my new Skull Canyon NUC, which will hopefully arrive today 28th July 2016, so I can update to Windows 10 (for FREE)
msmolders, I see you are using a Dutch OS, is that correct? lostboylost, what language are you using?
I'm in Australia and using English OS and selecting English as the language.
Yes, that's correct.
@lostboylost Just to confirm, it seems as if the Anti-Virus was preventing the USB creator from working, correct?
@msmolders, I don't know that we've tested other languages. Could I get a little more information? What OS are you running the tool on?
The only change was turning off Trend antivirus.
I ran the USB3 Creator Utility on Windows 10 Pro.
Interesting, thanks Gary!
