NUC6i5SYH Not Booting And No Display

    Derekp

      Support,

I have my NUC6i5SYH in April with Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB M.2 3.5-Inch SSD and Kingston 8 GB x 2 RAM . It is running Windows 10. It sometimes freeze after a few hours and until a few days ago, it freezes again. I tried to turn it on the blue LED flash is constantly on, but no picture anymore. The HDD light doesn't flash too. I tried HDMI and Display Port, both show nothing.

Since I bought the unit online from Amazon, I am not sure what can I do now. Should I ship it back to the US? Or can I get it replaced or repaired in my location, Hong Kong? Please kindly advise.

      Thank You,

      Derek

            Hello Derekp:

In order to further assist you we just need to verify a few details:

Did it work fine before, for how long?

Just for testing purposes, did you try to disconnect both SSDs and turn it on, we should be able to see the BIOS or an error message?

Did you test it with just one stick at the time?

Did you test it with different monitors?

Did you test it just with one SSD, just to check if it makes any difference?

              Alberto,

Did it work fine before, for how long?

It worked for about 3 months. It started to freeze occasionally after three weeks since first use. Sometimes when I try to switch it on, it'd lit the blue light, then off after a few seconds. I had to press the power button again, then it worked fine.

Just for testing purposes, did you try to disconnect both SSDs and turn it on, we should be able to see the BIOS or an error message?

              Nothing shows up.

Did you test it with just one stick at the time?

              Yes, nothing.

Did you test it with different monitors?

              Yes, no luck.

Did you test it just with one SSD, just to check if it makes any difference?

              Yes, but still no display.

Thanks for providing methods to get a replacement. I'll need one.
