Is it possible to enable the Extended Desktop setting from a
command line or script? I support users on restricted workstations where they are unable to access the Control Panel nor do they have access to the right-click context menu. This eliminates the 2 methods for them to access the Graphics Properties. We have been playing with multires to make changes to their settings but this only allows them to change the resolution and refresh settings on their monitors.
We set Extended Desktop as Admin, but when the regular users login they switch to Clone. The change to Clone may occur immediately upon login or at some random point after login. Still looking into the why.
In the meantime, is there any way to force the setting back to Extended as a restricted user? The OS is Windows XP with SP3 installed.
