Please find attached an SSU scan with the Hub plugged in.
I rechecked everything and found that, although I was positive I'd updated to the latest bios, that I actually had 0035 running. I know I'd run the 0037 windows bios update .exe.
This time I booted into Setup and updated the bios there. I am now running 0037.
I've also run the Intel Driver Update Utility and find that the Thunderbolt driver is reporting as Unknown.
I did have 16.x installed and using it's setup I removed the Thunderbolt driver.
I then downloaded the 15.x (current) version and installed it.
The Intel Driver Update Utility stills reports Thunderbolt as Unknown. And it fails when I use the Utility to install the latest driver.
However, the Hub, and Samsung T3 drive is functioning as expected. EDIT: They're running... but... the T3 drive is running at USB 2.0 speeds. It's a USB 3.1 Type C to Type A Hub.
Without the Hub, with the T3 Drive plugged directly into the Thunderbolt port... I'm getting 300Mb/s. Via the Hub it's around 34Mb/s.
I'll wait a few days to see if anything fails.
Using the Intel Driver Update Utility, the Bay Card Reader and Infrared Driver also report as needing to be updated... but after a successful update... still report as needing updating.
When I attached the USB 3.1 Type C Hub to the Thunderbolt Port... and run the ThunderBolt 3 Firmware Update Tool... I get this message...
Does this mean I have other issues?
I thought the Thunderbolt 3 Firmware Update Tool was for updating the Firmware of devices like the Thunder3 Duo Pro or the Dell Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station.
The USB 3.1 Type C Hubs I'm working with are much smaller, simpler devices. They're more USB extensions than anything else.
Not really, the message indicates that there is no Thunderbolt device connected. In your case is not needed, I apologize for the misunderstanding.
There is new BIOS version available please give it a try Download BIOS Update [KYSKLi70.86A].
