    USB 3.1 Type-C Hubs crashing Windows 10

      Hi Folks,

       

      I've got a Skull Canyon NUC6i7KYK, 32Gb G.Skill Ripjaws 2400 RAM, 2 x Samsung Pro 950 512Gb in RAID 0.  Windows 10 Pro.  Everything up to date.

       

      I picked up 2 4-Port USB 3.1 Type-C Hubs.  So... the Hub connector is Type-C, and the 4 Ports are USB 3.1 Gen 1 with Type A connectors.

       

      I've got 2 only because I'd ordered one and it was back-ordered and then found another.  They are:

       

      Aluratek AUHC0304F

      iOGEAR GUH3C14

       

      The problem is that after a couple of days with either Hub plugged in Windows crashes to a blue screen. I've had this happen once for each hub.

       

      One message I got was Page_fault_in_Non_Paged_Area.  The 2nd message I missed.  On one crash it took the sound drivers with it.  Had to re-install those.

       

      When using the Hubs (one at a time, by the way) I had a Samsung T3 External SSD plugged into the Hub.

       

      For several days now I've not had either Hub plugged in an no crashes.  I've had the Samsung T3 plugged into the Type-C port.  No issues.

       

      Any ideas?
