This error can be caused by a Hardware problem, so it is recommended to check about it with the Computer Manufacturer Support.
As you suggested, other users have been able to resolve this by uninstalling and deleting the driver from Device Manager, then installing older drivers, or deleting the Intel generic drivers and allowing Windows® to use the OS built-in (In-Box) BT driver.
The recommended version of Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® technology for Windows® 10 and the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 is 18.16.1.
