Bad rendering 530 HD

Hi,

I bought an I5 6600K a few weeks ago, but i noticed some graphic issue with the GPU.

Issue1: Sometimes when I resize a window the written is not readable (see "Issue1.PNG").

Issue2: In some games (the games in the photos are "Rocket League" and "Brothers") I have a bad rendering (see "Issue2 (1)/(2).jpg"). Is not all the time, just flash every 1-2 secs when some object moves or change the view.

There is no way to remove the problem for Brothers, in Rocket League I found a compromise setting in this way:.

I don't know what's wrong, because i know for sure that this cpu is good for this games in high quality, I checked on https://gameplay.intel.com/ Best Gaming Settings.

I tried to uninstall and install again the drivers, no luck.

I used this monitor and cable with an other pc, and no issues.

Can you please tell me how to solve it?

Update 02/06/2016 02.43:

I tried to unistall the drivers without internet connection. OS installed its general drivers (version 21/06/2006 - 10.0.10586.0).

Issue 1: none.

Issue 2: none but fps too much slow (2-3 fps).

So I tried to install without connection the drivers intel v.15.40.23.4444 (64bit) suggested by intel site, but it installed the version 20.19.15.4444 insted,

Issue1: none (for now)

Issue 2: Same of version 20.19.15.4424

So now I have version 20.19.15.4444 and I have updated the DxDiag, DispDiag-Intel-Issue and Intel System Support files.

Hi Luigi.O,

In regards to your low performance graphics issue, I suggest you to narrow down the problem changing the processor base frequency to default 3.33 GHz in the BIOS of your motherboard. If you have any overclocking setting in the BIOS, disable it.

The last 4 digits of the version determine graphics driver. The previous numbers are for internal purposes.

Please let me know how the system works with your game.

Hi Mike,

thank you for reply and information.

My processor default frequency is 3.5 GHz (at least this says the box).so why should I change it to 3.33?

By the way I tried, but no results. The games still remain glitchy.

If I did wrong, please tell me.

The overclocking setting was disabled from start (again...why should I not overclock the cpu if I bought the K and unlocked version to do it if needed?).

I hope it's a drivers problem and not a defective cpu.

Regards,

Luigi O.

Regarding 'Issue1.png' posted by Luigi: I'm seeing the exact same problem.

See images attached. Upon re-sizing the window width, artifacts appear in parts of the window.

Certain regions of a window don't repaint when they're supposed to. If I drag the window off screen and then back, the affected window *does* repaint correctly.

It's like the driver is ignoring the final request to repaint the window.

Example 1:

Example 2:

My system:

i7 6700K. Overclocking: No.

Intel HD Graphics 530 (Latest driver: 20.19.15.4424, 31/March/2016)

Display Port.

Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)

Hi Luigi.O,

Overclocking is allowed in unlock processors; however, it is under customer 's risk. The system performance could experience random issues.

Let me know if you have the same problems with default settings. If problem continues tell me current resolution of your TV.

Hi DeanG,

There is a Beta graphics driver, please give a try and let me know how it works.

Hi again Mike,

thanks for the information.

Hi have all set on default.I have already written the resolution above, it's 1360x768 - 60p Hz (max 1920 x 1080, but the only good one with 530 HD is 1360x768).

Hi Luigi,

I understood the current resolution is 1360x768 - 60Hz and it is supported. Please let me know which resolution you are trying to use, add Hz and bpp.

Hi Mike C,

The Beta driver (v4444) worked, thanks a lot.

Window width sizing is working without the screen artifacts.

Cheers,

Dean

Hi again Mike,

I'm not sure what are you asking for, but I tried: 1366x768 60 Hz 32 bit; 1600x900 60 Hz 32 bit; 1920x1080 60 Hz 32 bit.

The only one really compatible with fullscreen programs is the first.

Hi Luigi,

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to understand better the issue. If you use Intel recommendations' settings, the Rocket League game works properly (1366x768 60Hz); however, if you resize a window, problem happens randomly.

Do you know, the size of the new window with issues?

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry, maybe I didn't explain well. The "issue2" shows up with every resolution.

Generally the only good resolution is 1366x768 60 Hz, the other resolutions cut part of screen.

So this is not the problem. I don't know what is, I'm here to find out.

The "issue2" is red or blue lines flashing on screen (see "issue 2 (1).jpg" and "issue 2 (2).jpg" in the first post), that happens every time I open a game and remains until I close it.

A clue that I notice, both games with this problem (Rocket League and Brothers) are powered by "Unreal Engine", anyway this games should be good with this graphics card, so I don't know what's happening.

Luigi O.

Hi Luigi,

Intel recommends to use the resolution of 1366x768 60Hz, higher resolutions might have random issues.

Better graphics performance requires an external graphics card according to game requirements.

Hi Mike,

sorry but I can't take this answer as correct. The site you gave to me is not reliable, I can play games like Dark Souls III, so it is not a power issue, but it's on drivers.

Have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gaLwk217zg Will It Play? - HD 530 - Rocket League - YouTube , he play at maximum quality in 1920x1080 resolution without graphical issues. The graphics card is the same, the processor is not.

If you continue saying that this is normal, you force me to open a warranty ticket to return the processor.

P.s. I am using 1366x768 60p Hz resolution, please stop saying that.

And again, Rocket League is just an example, is not the only program with issues, this is not normal.
