Provide a detailed description of the issue

Whenever I play Halo PC, I get characters and trees that stretch through the ground or to the sky. I'm also noticing that only half of doors are rendering and some textures aren't rendering at all, like the ammo counter on the assault rifle or some of the tires on the Warthog.

Here are some pictures:

Hi Decibull,

Let's try to narrow down the issue. I double checked the sticky note and I see you are running the memories at 3000MHz; the i7-6700K supports memories at 2133MHz DDR4 and processor should be running at 4.0GHz as base frequency in the BIOS.

Review both settings on your computer and it is a good idea to run our Intel® processor diagnostic tool (it is a stress tool).

Let me know how it works.

Okay, I set my RAM back down to 2133MHz and I put my processor back to the stock 4.0GHz and it's still happening.

I also just ran the processor diagnostic tool and it passed that just fine. I've attached the log.

I have physical CD copy of it and then installed update 1.10 off of Bungie's website.

Same as OP

But will add that there is a warning when launching the executable (I've attached said warning screenshot)

Also, If you select safe mode, the game also has the same issues with stretched textures etc.

I will also add that this still happens on a clean install of the game without updating it to 1.10.

Hello All,

Intel released a newer graphics driver for 6th, 5th and 4th generation processors. Please download and run it and let me know your impression.

Intel® Graphics Driver version 4463

I hadn't tried these drivers as they are dated wrong, and I assumed they were older. I will test them now with Halo

EDIT: These solve the problems in halo for me, but launching halo still says that the igpu isn't supported

Can confirm. Driver version 4463 has fixed the stretching and the missing textures. Everything works great now.

And SubSonix, I'm pretty sure it just says that because it's an old game and has trouble recognizing new hardware.

Hi Decibull,

Thank you for your feedback.

SubSonix, loading the game might not recognize properly the driver but the game is working fine.

Yes I knew this, but I think It slipped my mind when mentioning it earlier. Apologies for making it sounds like it was an Intel issue.

Hi SubSonix,

No problem at all. Thank you for your feedback. I am glad your system is working properly now.
