I tried to use a CR2032 battery to power up the D2000 kit board.
The power LED on board was not light up after I put the battery in the holder.
If the CR2032 cannot power up the board, what is the battery holder's function?
Yes a CR2032 can power the D2000 Development Kit
You will need to place J27 at position [2-3] to indicate that you are using the battery rather than the USB power
If you have a look at the board schematics you will see that the green LED is only on if you have USB or EXT Header connected (page 10) Intel® Quark™ Microcontroller D2000: Schematics
You can use the 'blink' example to verify you have power - this example will blink the user defined LED 10 times on reset of the board...code is availabe here 'Blink' Example for Microcontroller D2000 Development Platform
