I don't know if this is a graphical problem, but for me it seems like it is :

I get this problem very rare and random.

Hi Esteban,

This is happening only in Internet Explorer in Windows 8.1. I attached SSU result down the post.

I don't know if someone looked over this also, which was posted in this thread

Description

Provide a detailed description of the issue

When browsing facebook on IE 11, scrolling with page down, or sometimes even browsing computer files, I get explorer errors like this:

Also sometimes when resizing pages the text becomes granulated and it dissapears

Other video card driver from other company had same issue and it was fixed like is described here: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-7-windows-vista/18327-stackhash-appcrash-issue-windows-7-sp1.html [SOLVED] Stackhash APPCRASH issue, Windows 7 SP1

I temporary found a fix, that proves it is the graphical driver or its components, by Enabling 64-bit processes for Enhanced Protected Mode in Internet Explorer Options, and not even a single error or text problems.

Also in game Fallout 4 after patch 1.2.37, till the last 1.5

textures and all other details are a big mess. Only lines and planes

Does it fail every single time, or only sometimes?

If you can offer a % rate please do.

Ronin:

Thank you for the information provided.

I tried to replicate the issue with the nearest configuration avaialble without success.

The hardware used:

Intel® NUC Kit NUC6i5SYH

Intel® Core™ i5-6260U Processor

Intel® Iris™ Graphics 540

Driver: 20.19.15.4444

Windows 10* 64-bit

RAM: 8 GB at 1200

Have you tested your system with supported RAM speeds? DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V

As per the information provided your RAM speed is 3200MHz, so changing that to a supported speed would be good to check.

Regarding the Fallout issue, have you tested this workaround? https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/364041517012147849/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/364041517012147849/

The graphics department of Intel is aware of that issue and this is being reviewed.

Ram speed it doesn't influence at all. My ram speed is on XMP 3200 1.35V.

I set ram speed to auto, XMP off, and it goes to 2133 1.2V, and same problems.

Tried with other weaker video card and none of these problems happens.

That drop down not showing correctly, it's happening less with each update of the video driver, and only in windows 8.1.

The error with stack hash is happening, only and only, in windows 8.1 ... in windows 10, IE 11 uses by default 64 bit processes so, you will not be able to replicate it.

The problem is not that I can't use windows 10 but sometimes I use 32 bit applications, and not only me, and it can give those errors while using those applications.

I would like to apologize for the delay on this Ronin, I am currently attempting to replicate this behavior with Intel® HD Graphics 530.

Just to double check, are you still experiencing this?

Will keep you posted on my findings.

Yes, this issue is very rare, only in windows 8.1 x64 Pro, and it just happened 30 mins ago when I started PC and IE ...

The issue with IE 11 and facebook it happens always on win 8.1. On win 10 on an earlier version was happening also. But now on the last insider version it doesn't happen. This issue is for sure from the driver because on other PC's I built for for my friends, with Haswell Intel CPUs, this doesn't happen.

What is strange is that any of the games I play and test, didn't give me any errors like that.

Hi Esteban,

The first issue didn't happen anymore, but the second with IE11 error , is still happening and I think it has something to do with 32 bit memory address limitation.

On Fallout 4 there is problem with textures.

When I used this settings in the ini files :

bUseCombinedObjects=0

bDisableAllGore=1

and I started game from begining the texture mess it doesn't happen anymore. There is some "driver has recovered ..." problem, though, from time to time with game crash.

Hello, Ronin:

Would like to know, do you have the option to test this with a previous release of IE? and also testing this out with previously released drivers can let us know if this follows the software (IE) or the drivers.

That'd be good information to have, I haven't been able to replicate the issue so far.

Please let me know how it goes.

I will try to install and windows 7 and see how it behaves, also will be good to focus on fixing Fallout 4, I think it will fix lots of issues with the driver because sometimes the game doesn't even start, you need to start it like 4-5 times to start and sometimes, when it starts, or alt+tab and back in game it goes like a unsynchronized tv.

I will not test other driver because lower then 4380 there are some issues with resolution and some pages, that I reported, and were fixed (driver crash with recovery).

All drivers after 4380 give me same behavior.

The Internet explorer crash with stack_hash errors I had from the start when I build pc, tested with another video card and the error isn't there. So if the driver has no problem it means that the igpu has a fault somewhere, which I really doubt it as all games and applications don't give me this type of errors.

Also I noticed that on windows 8.1 Pro in IE some pages, with many pictures and videos, load very slow when you scroll down, and they even tend to freeze, like this one: https://www.profesionalreview.com/2016/07/26/gigabyte-gtx-1060-g1-gaming-review/ Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming Review (Análisis completo)

Also I think that there is memory allocation or read problem because, random, when I load a saved point on Fallout 4, I get pixelated character face. Notice the difference in those 2 screenshots.

This problem appears after I load the same saved point for few times.

I installed windows 7 and now I get instead of that Internet explorer StackHash error this:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: IEXPLORE.EXE

Application Version: 11.0.9600.18377

Application Timestamp: 575afa93

Fault Module Name: igdumdim32.dll

Fault Module Version: 20.19.15.4474

Fault Module Timestamp: 575eeb9e

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Offset: 00351a38

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

Locale ID: 1033

Additional Information 1: 0a9e

Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Additional Information 3: 0a9e

Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

If I Enable Enhanced Protected Mode, Internet explorer works in 64 bit mode and uses igdumdim64.dll, and is not crashing ...

Now I'm testing to see if I get the address bar problem.

Hello, Peers:

I would like to recommend installing the recently released driver 4501 and let us know how the system behaves with this driver.

We will really appreciate the feedback provided for this matter.

4501 driver link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88345 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26228/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88345

In terms of Fallout, we are still handling this situation.

Hello,

I already have the new driver.

Tested Internet Explorer on 32 bit in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 and not getting those errors related to the graphic driver.

Instead in windows 7 Internet explorer while scrolling on facebook, when memory reaches 3GB stops loading any images and after some waiting it reloads the webpage and gives message that it recovered.

On windows 8.1 after it passes 3GB randomly tries to refresh graphically the webpage and remains a white blank page, it hangs or gives a random error, sometimes with BEX or other.

Well on the other hand on Fallout4 the textures spread allover screen error was fixed. Only problem I saw is that with textures on face, on the picture I posted upper on this page.

That texture face error is random and I think, sometimes, after some time of playing, it makes game crash with "display stopped responding message".
