If you go to the product support page for you board http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/dp965lt
you find several very usful technical docments. The most useful is the product TPS (Technical Product Specification)
The TPS gives you a fairly detalied description of how the Board and BIOS are suppost to function.
The Download section will allow you to down load drives, tools, uttilities and BIOS updates for your board.
Each BIOS release contains a set of release notes http://downloadmirror.intel.com/17520/eng/MQ_1761_ReleaseNotes.pdf to explain (in very general terms) what is being fixed or added in the newer BIOS.
Your BIOS (1718) is posted as well as 2 newer version of BIOS for your board.
The release notes are cumulitive so by reviewing the latest you can scroll down and see all the fixes and enhancements added to the product since the first BIOS release (MQ96510J.86A.0500.2006.0609.1423)to the most current release (MQ96510J.86A.1761.2009.0326.0001)
Hope this helps.
But your mail has arrived rather late.
On December 9, 2010 my DP965LT was struck by lightning and the local technician hasn't been able to mend it so I don't think I will be able to use that BIOS again.
