After upgrading to Windows 10 I am having problems with my monitor.
The display does not fill the entire monitor, there are black bars / areas on both sides of the image.
Tried to adjust the resolution but it will not allow me to adjust, the resolution area is grayed out and will not allow choices.
Also the text look distorted (like it is elongated)
The computer is: .. Dell Optiplex 990 upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to windows 10.
It was running Windows 7 pro 32 bit.with Intel (R) HD Graphics
Current driver version 9.17.10.4229
I have updated the driver but did not change the display.
Any help would be appreciated..
Let me know if you need additional information.

Your PC uses a 2nd gen processor and Q67 chipset, which are not supported on Windows 10:

You can rollback to Windows 7, or consider adding a graphics card (which you should consider carefully because of compatibility issues).

Hello, Rsebest:
Have you tested the "Why can I see the center of the Windows* desktop, but not the top, bottom, and sides?" steps in the link below?

Al is right as usual so chances are that graphically talking you can get some issues due to the fact that the platform used is not fully supported on Windows 10*.
