Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
Please try reinstalling the Ubuntu graphics driver you can get it here:
Also, at that website you should be able to get better support for Ubuntu and the graphics driver.
Thank you Ivan, but graphic driver installer from Intel does not support Ubuntu 16.04: Distribution not supported
I have also found that Intel has no latest driver support for my Voyager 16.04, cause it's an Ubuntu 16.04 derivation and I get the same "Distribution not supported".
When I log in I hear the welcome chime, but when I play a video there's no sound at all.
When can we expect an Intel graphics/audio driver for Linux that works on Ubuntu 16.04 and derivates on 01.org?
You may want to try this in /etc/default/grub (GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT)
With the first parameter, I was able to get sound via HDMI working. The second helps with the display not returning after going into standby.
Hey, thanks for the replies.
jkendzor, could you detail a bit your explanation? where and how should we insert those lines?
I am experiencing the problem of the screen in black after channel switching or standby.
