Does your memory have chips on both sides? if so, it is double-sided, which is not supported.
Also, the minimum bios is 77. So, you should be at 77, 78, or 79. You will likely need the processor you had before the i5-3470.
Make sure you follow the instructions carefully prior to attempting an upgrade.
All standard disclaimers apply.
Thanks for your response and your link.
In the file it says only Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported
What does the "x16" represent? My memory sticks has the wording "1Rx8" on them, are they the same?
Your DIMMs are not double-sided (they're x8, not x16).
As Doc explained, you need to put the previous memory and processor back into the system and then follow these upgrade instructions: Updating the BIOS to Support 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors. Once you have upgraded to the latest available BIOS for your board, you should be able to replace the processor and memory...
Hope this helps,
Thanks! I bought this motherboard online and I don't have any other cpus/rams that came with it so I don't have a way to test them right now. I'll probably get some used parts sometime soon and hopefully I can get the bios updated.
