Sometimes you can experience weird behaviour with a non-tested memory.
Please refer to both Intel Tested Memory List and Kingston Tested Memory List:
I would not recommend the use of a memory which has not been tested. Make sure not to mix memory modules.
If you are using a tested memory from Intel List and it is not working, then you can check with Intel (R) Customer Support.
However, if you are using a tested memory from Kingston List, and it is not working, then you can check with the Kingston Support.
All the best,
cibalo, we have built about 10 systems using 2 x KVR800D2N5/2G on the DQ45CB and not had any issues. That same memory on the DG45ID is another story. However, we have not yet confirmed our suspicions.
