    Intel hd graphics 520 won't run program that older Intel graphics card will

      Provide a detailed description of the issue

      Intel hd graphics 520 card on new windows 10 Dell inspiron 5559 will not run 3D cad program for 3d printing called 123D design. Driver is 123D design will run on older Dell Inspiron n5110 with Intel hd 3000 graphics card in both windows 7 and windows 10. Driver for that card in windows 7 is Driver for that card in windows 10 is 

      Does it fail every single time, or only sometimes?
      If you can offer a % rate please do.


      Hardware (HW)

      Brand and Model of the system.

      Dell Inspiron 5559 laptop

      Hybrid or switchable graphics system?
      ie Does it have AMD or NV graphics too?

      Intel hd graphics 520, not sure if it corresponds to hybrid or switchable, no AMD or NV additional cards

      Make and model of any Displays that are used to see the issue (see note2 below).
      = Local Flat Panel (Laptop panel)
      EFP = External Flat Panel (Monitor you plug in)

      LFP, built in display that came with the laptop, listed as "generic PnP monitor"

      How much memory [RAM] in the system (see note2 below).

      12 GB

      Provide any other hardware needed to replicate the issue.
      ie: Cables&brand, cable type [vga, hdmi, DP, etc], dock, dongles/adapters, etc


      Hardware Stepping (see note1 below).


      Software (SW)

      Operating System version (see note2 below).

      Windows 10 Home 64 bit version 10.0.10586 build 10586

      VBIOS (video BIOS) version. This can be found in “information page” of CUI (right click on Desktop and select “Graphics Properties”.

      There is not an"information page" in CUI. I went into display settings and VBIOS is just listed as Intel Bios (See attached)

      Graphics Driver version; for both integrated Intel and 3rd party vendors (see note2 below).

      SW or Apps version used to replicate the issue.

      123D design versions 1.8 and 2.0


      Single display, clone, or extended (see note2 below).


      Display resolution & refresh rate setting of each display (see note2 below).

      1920 X 1080, 60Hz

      AC or DC mode, i.e. is power cable plugged in or not?


      How to repro

      Please provide steps to replicate the issue.  These steps are very crucial to finding the root cause and fix.
      A screenshot to illustrate the issue is a huge plus. A video of the failure is even better! Attach to the post or provide the YouTube link.

      1. Need newer laptop that comes from factory with Windows 10 running graphics card similar to intel hd 520
      2. Download and run 123d Design v 2.0
      3. Draw a rectangle
      4. Hit the extrude button and try to select the rectangle
      5. 123D design should crash without any error message
