Chipset: Intel Z68
OS: Windows 10 64bit
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V PRO
In the picture bellow the first two (ID 0 and 1) are SSDs in a separate working RAID0.
ID 2 and 5 are the two healthy remaining drives part of the failed RAID5.
ID 4 is the original RAID member drive which had its PCB replaced. The RAID expected serial # Z303GCEK which is now Z302VWWF.
The data on this drive is preserved. If we can get the software to recognize the new serial as member of the RAID, the status would go from FAILED to DEGRADED. I could start rebuilding with one of the two spares I have.
The following images are from Intel RST version 22.214.171.1242. They show status of:
1) Original member drive Z303GCEK which had PCB replaced with Z302VWWF
2) Missing member drive Z301R6LT gone
3) Missing member drive Z303GCEK (now seen as NON-RAID drive Z302VWWF)
I've been trolled by Intel support!?!
The failed status was clear from the get go. Do you realize the data and structure is there and all I need is to change the serial number which is metadata used by the BIOS? Would you please make a call to software engineers and see how we can poke into the metadata using some kind of HEX editor and change the serial?
I regret to inform you that this is not possible through our level of support. You will need to wait for another community member that may have experienced same issue to help on this matter.
