I was able to get Openelec working great by doing the following:
1. Need to set the BIOS before installing Openelec
Press F2 when prompted during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
Press F9 to set all BIOS options to default values.
On the Devices and Peripherals > SATA menu, Chipset SATA Mode is set to AHCI.
On the Devices and Peripherals > USB menu, USB Legacy is enabled (checked).
On the Devices and Peripherals > Video menu, IGD Minimum Memory is set to 512 MB.
On the Boot > Boot Priority menu:
UEFI Boot is enabled (checked).
Legacy Boot is enabled (checked).
On the Boot > Boot Configuration menu, USB under Boot Devices is enabled (checked).
Press F10 to save your changes and exit BIOS Setup.
2. Download the development build of OpenElec 6.95 here:
Extract the ISO
Burn the ISO to a usb stick (as Fat or Fat32 format)
Boot from stick and install as usual
