Dell Vostro laptop (i3 with HD 4000) using VGA splitter connecting two Dell monitors to Dell D1000 docking station. Both monitors are connected and appearing as clones. Under Multiple Display, no options are available. Cannot detect second display. When I click the unlabelled button, it crashes.

Hello, joannschlosser:

Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.

From our side, the best way to connect or use pheriferals with computers is to use straight connections meaning no adapters or interconnectors between the device (PC) and the monitors in this case.

My recommendtation would be to double check with the manufacturer of the device to see what is the desired configuration while using that docking station to get a dual display configuration.

Here you can get support from your OEM: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?~ck=mn http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?~ck=mn

If you require any further information or support, do not hesitate to contact us back.
